Unhappy I've been too nice

I got my beautiful light platinum 2005 V in June of 2005. Since then I have had it in the shop (for other than routine maintenance) 9 times. First, the under chassis plastic cover fell off, then there was a problem with the clutch circuitry. After that, I discovered the tire pressure sensors weren't working, I found that out by having a screw in my back right tire with 3 lbs of pressure and the pressure sensor saying 32. Then, the coolant level sensor went out, then there was a problem with the $^(#$% skip shift kicking in randomly, no matter what speed or temperature. After that, the entire audio (radio, onstar, car phone) system went out. The dealer had to replace the entire unit and I discovered 2 days later that it's dvd player was defective and I had no navigation system. Now it's heating up to 235 and the fans aren't kicking on and the back right bearing has gone out. And to top it all, the dealership I go to has the worst customer support imaginable. I am on my 8th dealership provided rental. An Impala, just great.

I feel you on dealership service departments... at least they seem to acknowledge you have a problem.

Best of luck getting your vehicle repaired. You can try contacting GM/Cadillac custom assistance but you will likely come to the same opinion of their "assistance" that you have come to love from your dealer. It's worth a shot though, give them a call.

Each time I had my V in the shop they always seemed to give me a DeVille. I guess it was still a Cadillac at least.

Based on my experience with my Cadillac dealership to date, it sounds like you are expecting way too much. I have had my car in the shop numerous times for horrendous body work that has continued to lead to further car problems (note, none of this was my fault to even begin with which makes it all that much worse). Everytime I complain, they claim that they will fix the issue (the same issue that has persisted since the intital "repair" work), but it is never resolved. Instead of admitting their mistake and correcting the situation, I have been forced to hire an attorney in an effort to get appropriate resolution. I am soundly convinced that GM dealers generally and Cadillac dealerships specifically are incapable of taking appropriate action to offer valued customer service. I will never purchase another American sports car and never purchase another GM product after how I have been treated.

On a side note, for those of you in Houston, NEVER take your car to Stewart Cadillac.
