Custom intake

Good day all.

I own a 92 Eldorado with the 4.9L basically bone stock.
I was at a car show this weekend and say an older Eldo. with the 4.9L and the hood was up. When i looked under the hood i saw a custom made air intake. There was no one to ask quesions to that was near the car. Does anyone know where to start on how to make one for this motor and one that would work effectively in this car. Or is there one that is already made for my car/motor. I appriciate your time and input.
thanks guys

why would you drive on 4 or 6 cylinders when you can have 8

intake

I don't know what intake to put on. I am new to the "new" car modding. I am used to modding my 70 chevelle with a 400ci. Does anyone have any recommendations on which to use. What is easier, what has the bigger hp gain, what is more cost effective? Any help would be much apprciatried

Well if I was you since you don't have a forced induction equipment ( turbo or super charger) you can most likely get greater gains from a short ram intake.. although if done right the cold air intake will do the same job.. but look nicer

As far as cost effective.. it will be most likely the short ram.. as far as bigger hp gains.. it really depends on the design.. but both can actually greatly increase the power on a N/A car.

I will try to dig up some vendors of our other forums and see what is available for you car
