Finally part of the Club!

I am finally a proud owner of a CTS-V!! It's a 2004 with 39k and almost new condition. Just joined, but have followed these forums for awhile and decided I had to join now that I am a V owner. Any suggestions of MODs would be appreciated. Thinking about some sorta shift linkage kit only so far as I do find the wiggle in the gear handle worth addressing. That's about it so far though. Anyone know what can cause a tire to not report it's pressure? Haven't had a chance to ask the dealer about that yet, but anyone have a quick answer?

The tire pressure sensor could have become untrained or have a bad battery. The dealer (or you for that matter) can try to retrain the sensor and see if that fixes the problem. If not I would bet the battery in the sensor is bad. The entire sensor has to be replaced once the battery fails - I would not recommend replacing the battery. If you have to purchase a new TPS, call Gene at Fred Beans for the best price.

As far as mods goes... I really like the look of the V when it is lowered and Katech makes a really nice (but expensive) short throw shifter for the V. I also rode in a friends V with a magnuson supercharger on it and all I can say is "wow!". Lots of fun and very cost effective. I did a lot of engine mods to my C5, if I could go back and do it all over again I would have done a supercharger. Forced induction would have cost me about the same as heads/cam/tuning and is substantially less labor intensive to install.

Best of luck with you new V, congradulations & welcome to vseries.net!
