: Welcome to Stealth V Engineering...
ekool 02-01-2005, 01:42 PM Welcome to the forums!
I'm a new CTS-V owner... so tell me, what should I start with? I'm thinking the skip shift elimator to start with... but what else? What about lowering springs?
torchredfrc 02-01-2005, 03:25 PM Skip shift elimination can be done via PCM. If you are seriously considering changing engine internals you should purchase HPTuners as your first step.

How much is the HPTuners package?
StealthV 02-01-2005, 06:42 PM HPTuners is one player. My recommendation is EFILive though I'm biased as a beta tester since July '04. ;)
Look for more info here about some good EFILive - StealthV Engineering combos in the near future. :)
ekool 02-01-2005, 07:29 PM Very interesting... whats the home page for EFILive?
torchredfrc 02-01-2005, 08:02 PM $499 for HPTuners for 2 vehicle types. You get 2 complete model years/types for the $499. That is for their standard IO interface. You do not need the $649 Enhanced IO interface unless you plan on installing an EGT or Wide Band O2 sensor. The EIO interface just allows you to log that data with your cars ODB2 data in one software package. I purchased this version and have yet to use it.
I don't know much about EFI Live. I have heard good things about it, I do know that the guys at HPTuners will take it as a trade in towards your HPTuners purchase.

If you got someone with a Corvette close by (and I know you do ekool) who would want to go in on it with you, you could get the 2 vehicle types on one cable and share. Only one car can be tuned at a time anyway. I can also help you with tuning using your narrowband O2's.
ekool 02-01-2005, 08:29 PM My buddy Doug might be interested in going in halfers with me, he has a Z06. I'll have to talk to him.... very interesting.
ekool 02-01-2005, 08:31 PM Sorry Stealth, dont want to hijack your thread!
StealthV 02-01-2005, 10:17 PM EFILive (http://www.efilive.com)
If one already owns version 5 or version 6 of EFILive (the standard of the industry scantool), the upgrade to the version 7 tuning package is only $199 which includes four VIN tuning slots. You can read any 99+ PCM without affecting your four VIN slots. One only uses a VIN slot when you actually flash a PCM.
There's a lot of behind the scenes history and dirty laundry between EFILive and HPT. Let's just say I chose the company with the higher moral standards. :)
ekool 02-01-2005, 10:18 PM Well I'm new to the game either way, so I'm unfamiliar with the history. But, research is always in order before making a large purchase.
StealthV 02-01-2005, 10:21 PM Back on topic, a !CAGS Eliminator is the most popular first mod, followed by a set of Z06V Engine Covers. As you tire of the base 400 hp, you can always step up with an extra 10-15 hp with a FFV kit.
Some customers have suggested putting together a "weekend warrior" discounted package that includes everything - !CAGS Eliminator, Z06V Engine Covers and a FFV Air Intake - thoughts?
ekool 02-01-2005, 11:20 PM Hrmm. Im kinda partial to the factory cover actually... However, the cold air intake/CAGS combo does sound cool.
I may have found a friend that doesnt need his CAGS anymore, I'll let you know here in a week or so.
BWhite 02-03-2005, 05:48 PM When is all the "secret stuff" going to appear on the StealthV website ?
Breathless Performance has been threatening CTS/V aftermrket parts but nothing yet .
StealthV 02-04-2005, 10:20 PM To protect intellectual property and market opportunity, the unique prototypes shall continue to remain secret. Perfection is not easy or cheap. ;)
Until they are released, join one of your fellow 200+ V owners that have already purchased one or more of the existing StealthV products. :)
BigJoeD 08-24-2006, 09:41 PM This is OLD news I'm sure, but Lingenfelter offers CAGS for 18 bucks now :)

Count me in.
Also can you describe the difference between your CAG and the Ligenfelter version? Ligenfelter appears to be a set of caps while yours appears to be an inline diverter of sorts.
