what do i have to do to get the plastic cover off the top of the engine?? please dont tell me i have to take the strut tower brace off.

The engine cover should be secured by clips to both fuel rails. You should be able to gently pry it up and slide it forward under the strut tower brace. I've never removed a V cover but judging from how the covers are attached to the LSx engines in the Corvette I would imagine the V being attached in a similar fashion.

I'm going to be putting z06 fuel rail covers (and long tubes) on mine this weekend, pretty sure that strut tower bar has to come off.
