does anyone know of a company that makes replacement HP mufflers for the CTS-V? I do not want to buy a whole exhaust system, just want a better sound.

You might be able to contact Magnaflow or Borla directly to see if you can purchase either of their mufflers only so you can replace your stock muffler. Other than contacting a manufacturer directly, I don't know of anyone who sells muffler only setups. As a general rule it is easier to install a "full" cat back exhaust so I don't imagine there is much demand for a setup like this.

Good luck!

I was looking for the same thing when I spoke to one of the sales guys at Motor Sport Image. He told me to run straight pipes. I had a muffler shop cut my stock mufflers out and wield in straight pipes with black chrome tips. It was quit louder but not to loud. You still have your stock cats and silencers in to keep the noise done. Now the car sounds like a Corvette and didn’t cost the big price tag of a cat back system. Its funny everybody always asks me what kind of exhaust system I have.

THANK YOU, IT WORKES GOOD! WE CUT THE MUFFS OFF, IT WILL STILL PASS EMMISSION AND INSPECTION IN THE STATE OF UTAH, AND IT SOUNDS AS GOOD AS OUR C-6 CORVETTE!
