Drive Triain Questions

I bought a previously owned 05 CTS V. It had 28000 mi, and was dealer crertified. Now 3 Mos. later the clutch is not slipping under heavy torque conditions (that I can tell, nor do I smell a hot clutch), but when I start with reletively low "R's" from a standing start the car has a violent vibration. It feels like the "Trac control" is taking over, but I don't have enough "R's" to break the wheels loose.

I have driven many standard trans. cars in my life and I have never had one act like this. Does it sound like my clutch is going, or should I think about something else.

Sounds like your drivetrain/driveshaft is not in alignment.

Since it's a GM Certified car, take it back to the dealer and let them trouble shoot it. Sounds like you could have some serious drivetrain issues.
