Hi Mike,
I'm Frank. I just bought my CTS-V last week. I'm also an owner of a black on black. Here are some links that might be able to help you.

BMR FABRICATION (http://www.bmrfabrication.com/CTS-Vpage.htm)

Lingenfelter (http://www.lingenfelter.com/performance427cidls1ctsv.asp)

Mallet Cars (http://www.mallettcars.com/cadillac.php)

More Performance (http://www.moreperformanceinc.com/index_pkg.php)

I hope all that helps. I know More Performance has a supercharger but, I haven't checked to see if it's smog legal for California. ;)

I think that in the 2006 models they should put the LS2 in the CTS-V!
That would be really nice. Yeah, same horse power but, more potential..
A lot of the LS6 guys do a heads and cam package, thats what i would do.

I'd like to see them do a supercharger for 2006 instead. This way it'll be just a bolt on kit for the LS6. The other benefit too would be that it'll be smog legal as factory equipment. If they do the LS2, that would mean heads and cam package would be the alternative mod for the LS6 owners. I'm weary of having work done internally on the motor and then not passing smog.

I'm undecided.. I wouldnt care either way as long as big power is available :)

I good point of contact would be the guys at Lund Cadillac in Phoenix. They have a dealership race team and they run an 04 CTS-V. I've seen it in person and they had a super charger on it, FAST 90mm intake/throttle body, and I believe they were tuning. The advantage of going with them is that they will still honor your factory warrenty. So long as you have them install your after market accessories. This is not a plug for them but if you are looking for a good list of accessories that are warrenty worthy, give them a call.

LS2 heads are the same casting as LS6 heads. They upgraded the valve sizes. The big change is the stroke of the motor. I believe that was how they got from 5.7 to 6.0. Anyhow, as far as potential goes, the LS6 is just as capable of a motor. Hell, some tuners are getting better performance out of a good set of ported and milled LS1 heads than they are seeing from their LS6 heads. I say they should stick with the LS6 until the 427 is ready to be dropped in and completely skip the LS2. A Caddy with a 427 is one I would run out and buy tomorrow. :D

Hi all. I am new to your forum. My car is at Dynotech Engineering, in Fort Wayne Indiana. Phil Rickard is the owner and a super nice guy. He is using my car to develope different packages for the CTSV. As of right now he has 3 different stages of dyno tunes for the V. They just installed Stainless Works headers and high flow cats, along with Corsa exhaust and a CAI and the car now has 375 rwhp, and 375.2 rwtq. The next step is a custom ground cam and then AFR heads. If anyone is interested in what he has done so far you can get ahold of Phil at www.dynotech-eng.com :)

First off, Hello everyone,...i'm new to this forum but not new to LS1/LS6 performance. The new, LS2 is an all aluminum 6 liter, that uses a different block then the LS1/LS6 it replaces. You CAN MAKE YOUR LS6 a 427 pretty easily. But unfortunatly this isn't a cheap step, but well worth it as anyone that has driven a 427 car could tell you. The power is awesome! I will tell you, that with a good set of heads, and the right cam, you can make really nice HP numbers. I happen to be a motorsports tech at a Cadillac/Hummer/Saturn dealership,...there I have installed well over 10 superchargers from procharger, to Powerdyne, to magna charger. Mostly on Hummers and escalades. We just recently did Heads and cam on an 05 Hummer, coupled with Long tube headers, and a corsa exhaust. What a difference! HIGHLY RECOMMEND heads and cam to anyone thats budget minded and wants a great running ride. To give you an idea of the capabilites, my cousin josh put heads and cam on his 02 Z06 and went 10.87 @ 127mph on drag radials! Same motor as the CTS-V

We are currently waiting for the first production supercharger from magna charger, for the CTS-V. As soon as the unit comes in it's already sold to a customer that also wants to do heads and cam at the same time. I will keep you fella's posted to when it comes out and of the installation.

Any questions you guys have, feel free to send me an email, or ask here, anytime, as I do work at a GM dealer.

...and now that I remember(sorry, long weekend  )we just recieved the first Diablosport programmer for the CTS-V. We sent one of our cars their for a couple of days so they can get into the system. Anyways, I installed it on our customers car, as well as a corsa catback...WOW! What a big difference guys, car pulled hard. Highly recommend some sort of a tune for your cars. I think you'll be impressed.

I belive the Diablosport programmer will be just under $500. Well worth every penny just from the plug and play feature. Not to mention it does almost all of what my $2500 Tech II diagnostic tool does. It reads in real time ECT(engine coolant temp) IAT(intake air temp) O2 sensor real time readings, and several other really cool features. YOu can control fuel curves, fuel cutoffs,..etc etc.

Honestly guys, it's a really nice piece, you can see, and have fun with. Not to mention decipher DTC's(diagnostic trouble codes).

ekool, I don't think they have it on their site YET, since they still have an ad on the site saying they need an 05 V series to baseline. I'm sure if you called them, 561-908-0040, they would probably be able to give you up to date info. Check their site first if you like ;)

Hey everyone. Thanks for all the info. After much research I am going to go with the Magna Charger as soon as it is out. It will add unmatched speed and power as well as pass all smog and state inspections. It will come with a 3 year 30,000 mile warranty. Here is the link and picture of the test charger already working.

Just from another stand point,....I think it's awesome magnacharger found a way to use a strut tower brace, even with the roots blower. Something not easy to do. Sweet

I was reading that you may need an aftermarket hood (with the C5/C6 kits, you do) -- so we'll see once the final version is out :)

I'd hate to have to switch hoods..I mean its not like we'd save weight by doing that, so its just an expense with no real benefits :(

I called them and spoke to one of the techs. He said the working versions are using the stock hood and so will the final version. You will only need to install do a program and enjoy another 100 or so hp.

Not on this car. I did purchase one from them for my Hummer H2 and that ran just over 6000.00

Well I did it. I put the Magna Charger on the V! The guys at East Coast Supercharging in Jackson, NJ did one heck of a job. I have to take pics for you all and I do have the dyno as well!!! Engine hp is 498 and rear wheel is 397. It is so smooth you almost don't know you are doing 130 in 4th gear. I was next to an 04' Vet and completely blew his doors off. I think he went back to the dealer to see what was wrong with his car! If you have the cash just do it... I just drove the car to my new home in Houston, Tx and after 1800 miles at an avg of 74.8 mph it was awesome....I have as much power in 6th as I did in 5th....Best part no more 1>4 YES!

Pics coming soon...
