My buddy at work just got his 5-speed IS300 last week. So I had to take pics. Isn't it beautiful in fall?

Yeah that.

The Lexus interior looks....dated. Something you might find in an older European auto.

I'm afraid I must agree. I like the V's interior better than the Lexus as well. I don't much care for the lights on the trunk lid either (Lexus). The V is a better looking sedan all the way around! Excellent pics!

I had an IS300 before I got my 06 CTS-V (btw, same color as yours :) )

Here was my baby

As an owner of both cars I can vouch for the fit and finish of the IS. I had absolutely NO rattles in the IS like i do in the CTS, which kinda of pisses me off.

How does the IS300 compare, performance wise, BigJoeD? I know what you mean about fit & finish. GM doesn't seem to have that down yet on any of their vehicle lines I've been in.

As far as performance goes, a stock IS would get SMOKED easily by the CTS-V. The stock IS only has 215 crank hp (175 - 190 rwhp) , but watch out for boosted IS's on the road and there are a lot of them now. The 2JZ-GE motor in the IS is a cousin of the 2JZ-GTE motor in the old Supra's. These motors can withstand A LOT of boost. There are some higer end IS's putting down over 500 - 600 rwhp and even the cheapest turbo kit for a IS will get you about 350 rwhp, which is a bit more than a stock CTS-V's rwhp around 335 - 350 from what I've read.

I dont understand why GM doesnt put more work into fit and finish in the Cadillac line. This is a high end car and deserves better. I guess it's one of the reasons why GM is losing money to Toyota. People want quality first and GM does not seem to offer that.

I still love my V though :D
