Hey Guys,
My business travels takes me to some interesting cities and clients. This week I'm visiting Eaton and have lunch scheduled with a guy in the Automotive division. I told him that I wanted to discuss the supercharger in the STS-V (if he wants me to pay :)).
Let me know if there are any particular questions to ask that you may have. My lunch with the guy is Wednesday at 12:30 est so get questions in before then.

Well I am curious about a few things:
1.) Did Eaton help design the intercooler (laminova coolers) setup? It seems that there are some restrictions with the design and I am wondering if there are any other options for getting more airflow across the laminova cooler fins. Opening up the intercooler lids even more might allow for more airflow but less heat reduction which could be offset by meth injection.
2.) See if they will print you off an efficiency chart for the M122 supercharger?
3.) Ask what there thoughts are for increasing boost on our car to 16lbs; interested in there off the record responses.
4.) Ask about porting our specific blowers and what additional steps we can take to get more airflow out of them.
5.) Ask if there are rotor upgrades or any other type of upgrades that they might have out or are coming out that might put the capacity of our blowers near that of the Eaton TVS blowers on the market.
6.) Ask about any longer term issues with using a meth or water injections system spraying pre-supercharger? Specifically rotor clearances with frequent thermal expansion and contraction. What is their stance on using these type of spraying systems?
Thats all I can think of now. I'll let you know if I can think of anything else.

Ask if it is possible to change the snout pulley to different sizes?
If that is possible I can get South Florida Pulley Headquarters to make a quick change option for us. He just needs a factory pulley to gauge the hub from.

I'll write these questions down and give them to the guy tomorrow.

It is possible to change the pulley the problem with it is that our pulley is already 2.8" which is relatively small. People have gone smaller than this but it typically leads to belt slip without the proper tensioners. Belt slip=lower boost We do not have these tensioners fabricated for our car so they would need to make these as well. I contacted South Florida Pulley's months ago about this but decided to go the snakebite route instead because of the upper pulley size. I also contacted a company (I'll have to look to find the name) in midwest that was willing to make harmonic balancer and crank pulley w/adjustable size rings but they were going to need my factory one for 2 months. I think the total cost for the harmonic balancer and crank pulley was going to be around $700-900 dollars.

Hey Guys,
I met with folks from Eaton today. I gave them all the questions. They weren't the right guys to talk to but they are tracking down the ones that are. I'll be a few day before they get back to me. It'll also be next week before I post again. I'm off first thing in the morning for Elkart Lake, WI for the American LeMans race at RoadAmerica and won't get my drunk butt back to Monday night.
