: 07 STS V in Thunder-Gray
harrysxlr 09-08-2006, 12:03 PM Hi there,
I´m very interrested in a Thunder-Gray STS V or CTS V, does anyone of you have some pictures of this color?
My 04 XLR is thunder-gray but I think it`s not exactly the same color as mine is.
I would appreciate if someone could post some pics.
Here`s a pictire of my Thunder-Gray

harrysxlr 09-10-2006, 09:17 AM Thank you BigJoeD,
I think the thunder-gray on the 07 CTS V will look very good too. Still didn`t find any pics of this color on the net but I´ll keep on searching.
Here`s one more pic of my XLR

BigJoeD 09-10-2006, 06:29 PM OMG that is one pretty car my friend!!!!!
They have or had the CTS-V in the blueish-grey color which I thought looked good, but it MOST definately looks better on the XLR-V, WOW!!!
That's a 100k well spent :) I still have to work my way through the ranks. I've got the CTS-V so it's a start :)

harrysxlr 09-11-2006, 10:42 AM Sorry BigJoe, hope you`re not dissapointed but it`s an 04 XLR, not a V.
I put the V grille on and couple of months ago I got the original V wheels from a friend in Aliso Viejo/Ca. He put some aftermarked wheels on his V.
One good point about my 04 export model, it`s not speed governed. Top speed 292 kph (181 mph). When I was in june for the XLR-Rendezvous in LA and ABQ we drove with my friends new V top speed 158 mph - then the speed limiter cuts in. (we did it twice)
To start with a CTS V is a good thing, drove 2 of them in the US and love em.

torchredfrc 09-11-2006, 11:37 AM That's a pretty impressive pseed there harryxlr. Are you going to add the supercharger to your xlr?

Hi torchredfrc, long time not talking. I would but the the V`s 4.4 liter sc doesn`t fit my 4.6 North*
My stock XLR runs pretty fast, had GPS times 0 - 100 kph (62 mph) of 5.5, would be 0-60 mph about 5.1 or 5.2 not bad, only changes is my Corsa system and as you see my wheels and grille.
Here`s a picture I took myself doing 282 kph (175 mph) by HUD. The tire warning light was with the wrong TPM`s - you know but pressure was correct.

torchredfrc 09-11-2006, 02:56 PM It's a shame the supercharger won't fit, that would be a damn impressive addon. Incredible picture by the way. Now you're really making me wish my car wasn't in the shop when you guys were in Abq.

Don't worry man, I'm NOT disappointed. It's still a very beautiful car and I'm still envious.
Man, i'd love to be able to drive the autoban :)

Would you guys be offended if I brought the C5? :D
I've been wanting to take a trip to Bowling Green in the Corvette for the longest time now...
