General Motors top luxury brand is experiencing one heck of a resurgence. Sales of the fine CTS sedan are rolling along nicely. And with the new soon-to-be released high-performance CTS-V said to make about 400-horsepower, the once-stodgy Cadillac is hip again — something that hasn't happened since the Sixties. Once mainly a stodgy line only our grandparents would want to drive, the new-edge styled model line is highly coveted by today's top entertainers and professional athletes — primarily in the form of either an Escalade or the SUV/pickup truck Escalade EXT.

Hold the phone. Hip-hoppers and ballers everywhere are going to want to add another Caddy to their shack: the all-new XLR luxury sports car.

The stealth fighter-like lines of the current Cadillac design theme have never looked better than on this new convertible hardtop. Throw in the all-new Northstar V-8, Magnetic Ride Control, and a chassis that is essentially the basis for the future Corvette, and you have one winning ride. And be sure to check out our Road Test (http://www.roadandtrack.com/article.asp?section_id=3&article_id=622&page_number=1) of Cadillac's new sports car.
