Maybe someone on the area could go snap some pictures of it and see if they can weasel a test drive. I wish GM would have put the V accents they put in the STS & XLR in the CTS.

Harry (from Germany)Harry, have you heard anything about the STS being fitted with the 6.0L engine? By the way how many of us have been to Kitzingen? In '62-64 I used to visit a 3ID artillery officer's daughter who lived there.
I spoke to the Mallett folk about that and they had no comment.

Hi Troll,
No, I don`t think Cadillac will put the 6.0 LS2 or LS6 engine in the STS.
More possible is the V12 they working on and I´ve heard it`s not too far away till the new Escalade as V series will show up.
Now the Audi and BMW come up with the V 10 engines, will see what Cadillac does!
Did you heard in the early 60s here in Kitzingen something about the Gasthaus "sawmell", was close to Larson Barracks?
Have a nice day

Oh, you was stationed at Leighton or Emmery Barracks!!!
The Northstar V12 is the one what was first showed in the Cadillac Cien and about a year ago I saw some Escalades as test-mules driving around. You couldn`t tell it from the outside, only when they did open the hood.
This V12 is a 7.5 liter with 750 horses - that`s the engine what they would need to compete with ANYTHING. I guess if it goes into production it might will have around 600 hp. I don`t know if the engine bay of the STS is big enough to fit it but it will sure fir the New Escalade and the upcoming (for 08/09) Cadillac ULS.

my first post my dealership just get one in. i get to take a test drive in it. its very nice. i like the wood they used in the interior, and the leather. it has that aston martin feel to it. the car is mean, it is very fast, u can hear the supercharger a little bit when driving. i get it a thumbs up. caddy is making some bad ass cars, i just cant wait for the xlr-v

HarryHarry: I think I was at Leighton Barracks. I had an Email converstion with the Mallet folk (the CTS enhancing people) who said they can put a 6.0L engine into the STS. If that engine can go into the car, then the 7.0L will also, assuming the dry sump lines can be plumbed. This is what makes GM the weak sister: they take a beautiful auto and make it second rate out of the box. This is why I refused the STS-V I had ordered. A 6.0L engine will make 500 HP without a supercharger. Imagine a 7.0L like my wife's new ZO6 in the STS!

The STS-V seems to have dropped off this site's map. I will say this: my wife's Z06 has the engine that should be in the STS-V. This engine, with about $1500 worth of adjustments. can make another 100hp. Imagine what adding SC would do. BMW's M Class would be rather dusty.
