: What Does The 9th Digit Of VIN Mean 50 4Ever 11-25-2005, 08:55 AM I'm thinking of buying a 2005 CTS-V and one that I'm looking at has a "9" for the 9th digit in the VIN. Does anyone have an aftermarket shifter installed, like a Hurst Billet short throw? I have one in my Corvette and the shifting is precise and quick. Thanks, this looks like what I was looking for. https://secure1.nexternal.com/uuc/images/CTSV_UUC.jpg In the Corvette I have a Hurst Billet Short Throw Shifter with heavy springs in it. So when it is in neutral the shifter is below the 3rd gear gate. Also 2nd to 3rd shift is straight up not up-over-up. Is the UUC shifter similar in this regard?
