Anyone got a lead on when the 06 CTS-V will go into production? I'm chomping on the bit.
Dealer has assured me that GM has fixed the wheel hop for 06.
Anyone have any news on shifter improvements?

I have no info on when the CTS will go into production. I am sure that they have got the wheelhop issue fixed... I have a 2005 that was just fixed by the T.S.B. and it does not wheel-hop at all...

I just found out the 06 CTS-v will no longer have the LS6 engine. It will share the same engine with the GTO, the LS2. Horsepower will remain the same at 400hp.

The wheel hop issue is fixed on the 05's by the dealer with the TSB (#1684809) that replaces the bushings. 06 model information is posted in the News forum as it becomes available.

There is a good description of the 06 car and options on cadillacfaq.com but no production date yet. Dealers I have talked to have no better clue than I do except to say they think it will be in Oct. or Nov.

Heard from a source at GM that there may be some issues with the LS2 and that Corvettes are not shipping either. Anybody have a better source report?

I ordered an 06 CTS-V through my dealer, Capitol Cadillac in Lansing, MI. on 11/15/05. Order confirmed and delivery shown on the factory order status, the week of 12/12/06. It shouldn't take too long for the delivery as the factory is about seven miles from the dealership! I ordered silver/blk with the shock package. I'm counting down the days. I test drove an 04 and really liked the car, but did a vette between then and now. Sold the vette two
months ago and decided to sell my Monte and make the V my everyday car.

It appears as if GM is having problems in all areas. This is very sad because I luv my new Caddy. I think they have changed enough to capture the younger crowd. Hopefully they will get it together.

Parkway Cadillac in Santa Clarita, Ca has a black and a silver one, just off the truck. Anyone in Los Angeles looking for the best damn car in the world... there's two.
