Anyone's XM radio disappear on occasion? I don't mean just a "no signal" situation, I mean XM no longer even appears on the screen. Shifting the band button scrolls through FM and AM but no XM. Then if park for five minutes, it comes back. It's happened five times so far. The dealer "checked" it (pronounced B.S.) to no avail.
Anyone else experience this?
Thanks

I've had some pretty bad electrical problems with my V lately. It seems my personalization will work off and on... more off than on though. The dealer thought they tracked it down and said it was the nav system/computer. The replaced the entire stereo head unit; it didn't fix my problem. I'm just guessing, but if you're losing the xm stuff it could be either the head unit itself or the break out xm receiver (if the cars even have one -- like the traditional receivers after market head units use for satellite radio).
The only reason I bring up my electrical problems is because I bet the dealers have probably seen a fair ammount of electrical problems with these newer model vehicles that have all these extra features. I would talk to your dealer and see if they have a solution for your xm problem.

I have been having the same thing happen on my XM lately. My 3 months of free XM recently ran out so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I figured perhaps bad weather or the satellite was having issues. If it keeps up I am going to take it into the dealer and get it looked at.

I would recommend taking it to the dealer. When your 3 month trial is up, your XM should still receive the Preview channel (when you are in clear view of the satellite). You might be experiencing a electrical problem similiar to my car. My CTS-V is on it's way for the 3rd visit to the dealer regarding the personalization issues. After #4, New Mexico state law allows me to enter arbitration with GM to consider the vehicle a lemon.

I am having exactly the same problem. Cadillac have had the car 6 times and I am now asking for a new car or to cancel the lease.
They have repalced the XM module, reset the computer system, put in a new radio and it is still happening.
I am ready to scream !!!! A $55,000 car and they can't make the radio work. Thats GM for ya !!!

Hang in there Dave. GM customer service is about to take you for a ride. I hate to say it, but don't count on them offering to repurchase the car dispite your problems. They seem to be trying to fight me pretty hard. My car has well exceeded both provisions of my states lemon law and they are not bending yet. I'm going to have to get an attorney I think.
