Hello,
I was wondering if anyone knew how much HP the 6sp. transmission could hold up to safely. I'm looking at getting an 05 CTS-V with the lingenfelter S/C on it and hoping the tranny would hold that much power. Any thoughts would be great! Thanks! :)

A place called Vera Motorsports (part of a Caddy dealer) is installing the Magnuson s/c's, and other things expecting around 500rwhp, and when I was talkin to the guy I know there (who was doing the installs) he didn't say anything about upgrading the tranny. They've modded at least a few, you could call them and talk to them about it. They are one of the Vendor's on here I believe, check out their website.

See, told ya so ;). The install I was talking about was a Magnuson blower, new cams, long tubes and full exhaust. That doesn't sound like a lot right now, but I think that's all it was.

You can probably expect the rear end to fail before the transmission will.
