What Launch Technique do you use to get out fast at full power to minimize the dreaded “Wheel Hop”.

Here is one:

1.) Rev. to 1600
2.) Slip the clutch
3.) Pedal to full throttle…..

Any others the you guys can post?

I have never been down the strip so I can't tell you anything about my technique because I havn't developed one yet. What you're describing should work though based on everything I have read.

As far as the wheel hop goes, take a look at the wheel hop thread. GM has issued a service bulletin about this and I'm taking mine to the dealership as soon as the part is available.

Little late on this one, but "driver abuses?" How the hell are you supposed to drive a car with 400 horses from the factory?!

I couldn't agree more. I'm still waiting on the dealer to call me on this bulletin. They did (after some persuasive speaking) say they would perform the service bulletin work. I think it's terrible that GM has the bulletin written in such a way that the work is not performed if the customer isn't aware.
