Hi Everyone,

I have a couple of questions about Mods to my CTS-V. I'd love to hear any and all ideas...

1. What are the three most "bang-for-your-buck" mods I could make to my CTS-V and how much improvement will each give me, and

2. What specific parts/manufacturers do you recommend for the three aforementioned mods?

Also, what specific mods are available are there to solve the wheel-hop and harsh action of the shifter.

Thanks,

The Goatman.

Goat,

The first thing I would suggest would be the BMR anti-wheelhop kit, as well as the GM Racing "Locking rings" (just delryn bushings)

That will cure the wheelhop, which should be priority #1

After that... the best bang for the buck modifications are as follows, IMHO..

Heads/Cam - You can gain up to 50hp at the wheels with a good heads/cam combination, and it should make more power throughout the entire band, price should be around $2k for a decent set.

Magnacharger - for about $6k you get an extra 140rwhp -- its a bit pricey, but probably the most power you can get easily.

Lingenfelter sells them or you can order them from GM Racing direct. They run about $275 IIRC.

Combined with the BMR anti-wheel hop kit, they eliminate the wheelhop at stock or near stock power levels.
