Does anyone have a supercharger on their cts-v? What do think of it?
Thanks

FastMatt will have one very soon, it should have shipped on Tuesday, he plans to do a big writeup on the install, etc.

Matt ordered the Magnacharger kit.... will keep everyone updated on that, and the wheelhop fix parts that we need to test.

Great, this is the type I am interested in.
Thanks. I have had a B&M and a Procharger in the past. The Procharger with intercooler was great, but very noisey. Got rid of it for that reason. I talked to the Magnacharger people and they said there is no noise at idle or cruise, only noise at boost. This should be perfect.

Hey Matt did you get the supercharger installed?

Or did anyone else?

Thanks

Matt did get the S/C installed and the car runs like a champ and sounds awesome. He's out of town for another week or so, but I'll make sure he posts up some pics as soon as he gets back...

JimR -

I have a Maggie on my V for about 3,500 miles now. Love it. The V totally rocks with this mod, StealthV tune, and B&B 3" catback :)

Did the blower kill the the rearends of your V?

Did you have the warrantee from Mag and if so how did they handle the problems?

Thanks

Jim -

No warranty from Magnuson.

The maggie was installed after rear diff #3, which has been fine for nearly 4,000 supercharged miles thus far.

Rear diff one was replaced early (began failing at about 200 miles). Rear diff two failed because the dealer failed to add the limited slip additive when it was installed. Current diff (#3) seems to be magic. It has been driven relatively hard, with one day at the drag strip (supercharged), and no issues, no whine, seems perfect. I don't hammer the V all the time, and I avoid wheel hop like the plague. I did change the fluid at about 400 miles after installation and switched to Royal Purple synthetic.

Very happy with the Maggie...I'd never go back :)

I will be getting one as soon as my budget allows.

Thanks for the info, did you install or have someone else?

Just picked up my '05CTS-V yesterday - Had up to about 130 and got very nervous while going around curves/bends. The car seems to drift when maneuvering at high speeds. DId not feel as confident at those speeds as my C32 did with coil overs & anti-roll bars. DOes anyone else feel this way at high speeds? THe car has the sport shocks from the dealer. WOuld Anti-roll bars help? What else? ANy other suggestions?

I havn't hit 130 in mine... I can say that it makes me nervous just because the car is so large. You might consider a stiffer strut brace, I believe the stock brace (with the LS6 lettering on it) is primarily for looks and I'm almost positive I've seen an aftermarket part that is stiffer. Let me see what I can dig up for you.

Thanks for the tip - I did see this and I am definitely going to get it - I think that anti-roll bars are a must, though! I don't want to mess with the shocks b/c I already spent the $1200 addt'l on the dealer installed sport shocks.

What would the 1/4 mile time and 0-60 mph realistically be for a supercharged and intercooled V?
