The owner’s manual does recommend the parking brake and “leave it in Reverse” method. On the new Corvette you must shift in to reverse before leaving the car or the battery will run down. Though I put mine in reverse and the foot break (sucks by the way..I want a hand brake... :rolleyes: ) in I would hate if I did not and the battery die that just seems obsurd. ?SP? NIK 03-08-2005, 12:10 PM Question - if you put on the parking brake and left the car in reverse, would it do any harm to then start the car while in reverse (clutch engaged, of course?)
