Hi Guys,

Katech in Michigan is doing some mods on my "V" One item I've actually tried is the short throw shifter. (It's like day and night over the factory shifter). They have other cool stuff for sale. Check out www.katechengines.com or their items are on e-bay.

Same price as the Mallett -- $450 (aluminum, $499 stainless)

A bit steep for an STS... IMHO. But, we may not have much of a choice :(

Well, B&M shifters (pretty high quality) and other shifters (Pro 5.0, etc) usually run in the $250 dollar range (or less) -- thats about where I'd like to be for a quality piece. But, when you factor in the number of cars on the road, and it make sense why the R&D cost has to be split across fewer units which raises the price.

Still, I dont have to like it ;)
